$40.00
A stirring concert fanfare for any big point in a concert or event. Four trumpets (4th trumpet doubles on piccolo trumpet), 2 horns (can be doubled to good effect), 2 trombones, bass trombone, and tuba. Organ part is optional, but a great addition. Optional percussion includes 2 timpani, glock, suspended cymbal, snare drum, bass drum, and piatti.

Rejoice! was performed in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's Big Brassy Christmas concert in 2013. The shorter versions (below) were used in advance to promote that concert. Then in 2014, recordings of the 2013 performance were used in videos that promoted the 2014 Big Brassy Christmas. View these videos HERE and HERE. Rejoice! is not a Christmas work, but since it works for almost any 'big' occasion, it certainly works well at Christmas. If shorter versions are desired, use the specially prepared shorter versions below (#1199).

Two shorter versions of the above concert work, Rejoice!, suitable for fanfares. For musical reasons, these short versions are not simple extracts from the full version, but specially arranged music adapted from the original. The duaration of Version A is 0:55, and the duration of Version B is 1:20. Same instrumentation as above (#1198): 10 or 12 brass alone, or brass with organ, or brass with percussion, or brass with organ and percussion.

The short versions of Rejoice! were performed to promote the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's Big Brassy Christmas concert in 2013. Then in 2014, recordings of the 2013 performance of the full version (above, #1198) were used in videos to promote the 2014 Big Brassy Christmas. View these videos HERE and HERE. Rejoice! is not a Christmas work, but since it works for almost any 'big' occasion, it certainly works well at Christmas.
